Lower Macungie Township FREE Document Shredding Event

Due to the popularity of the event, we will only be accepting materials that may contribute to possible identity theft, such as bills, medical records, bank statements, pay statements, paperwork with Social Security numbers, etc. We cannot accept phone books, magazines, birthday cards, junk mail or any other type of non-sensitive materials. Non-sensitive material can be disposed of with your weekly curbside recycling. If there is a large amount of non-sensitive materials, the entire container will be returned to the resident. You do not have to remove any staples or paperclips, but please take documents out of binders and notebooks. We advise participants to not arrive early. Early arrivals are likely to be faced with longer waiting times.
There will also be a limit of four medium sized boxes (approx. 10″ x 12.5″ x 16″) per vehicle, regardless of the number of vehicle occupants.
Lower Macungie Township is partnering with Senator Jarrett Coleman and State Representative Gary Day to sponsor this event.
