
HARRISBURG – Sen. Jarrett Coleman (R-16) and Sen. Nick Miller (D-14) announced today that Allentown Art Museum and Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority were awarded nearly $2 million in in Statewide Local Share Account (LSA) funding for improvement projects.
The funding was administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority.
“I’m pleased to join Sen. Miller in announcing these state grants to the Allentown Art Museum and Lehigh Northampton Airport Authority,” Coleman said. “This funding will support these important cultural and transportation safety projects in the Lehigh Valley, encouraging our continued economic growth.”
“These investments are building the foundation for a thriving, innovative Lehigh Valley that will grow and prosper for decades to come,” Miller said. “Transformative projects like the Allentown Art Museum and the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority will fuel growth and opportunity. The new museum will attract visitors, expand educational programming, and boost cultural tourism, and at the same time, we’re improving airport safety with advanced equipment to support commerce and ensure efficient travel.”
Approved Statewide LSA Approved Projects:
Allentown City on behalf of the Allentown Art Museum will receive $775,000 to cover professional costs for the planning of a new art museum.

Lehigh Northampton Airport Authority will receive $1 million to purchase an aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicle for the Lehigh Valley International Airport.
The LSA program distributes gaming revenue to economic development projects. LSA funds are distributed by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, an independent agency of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development which administers the commonwealth’s economic stimulus packages.
