Coopersburg Borough and Lower Milford Township Projects to Benefit from State Grants, According to Coleman

HARRISBURG – Sen. Jarrett Coleman (R-16) announced today nearly $120,000 in Statewide Local Share Account (LSA) funding will be awarded to public safety and infrastructure projects in Coopersburg Borough and Lower Milford Township. The funding was administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority.

“Our first responders remain dedicated to keeping our families and neighborhoods safe and protected,” said Coleman. “These projects will allow them to continue to do so by upgrading their vehicles and base of operation.”

Approved Statewide LSA Projects:

Coopersburg Borough will receive $62,000 to purchase and upfit a police cruiser.

Lower Milford Township on behalf of Lower Milford Township Fire Company No. 1 will receive $57,692 to cover renovation costs to replace the fire company’s HVAC system.

The LSA program distributes gaming revenue to economic development projects. LSA funds are distributed by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, an independent agency of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development which administers the commonwealth’s economic stimulus packages.
