Coleman, Labs Announce More than $1.6 Million in State Grants for Upper Bucks County Projects

HARRISBURG — Sen. Jarrett Coleman (R-16) and Rep. Shelby Labs (R-143) announced projects in Upper Bucks County were awarded more than $1.6 million in state grants from the Statewide Local Share Account (LSA) program today.

“The communities we serve each have their own unique needs, and with the assistance of these grants, they are able to make great strides in maintaining local infrastructure and improve public safety,” Coleman said. “I am pleased to have worked with Rep. Labs and help move these projects further in the right direction.”

“I was proud to join with Sen. Coleman to support funding for these projects. This grant funding represents meaningful investments in public safety, infrastructure and essential services,” Labs said. “Each project responds to a real need in our community and will deliver tangible benefits to residents.”

The following projects were awarded funding:

Bedminster Municipal Authority was awarded $990,000 to upgrade the Stonebridge Water System with an iron and manganese treatment filter and refurbish the structure, which will house the filter.

Bedminster Township was awarded $106,000 to purchase a new police crime scene vehicle and trailer for use by law enforcement in the township and surrounding areas.

Bedminster Township was awarded $243,000 to replace an outdated public works truck. The new truck will be used for snow plowing, road resurfacing and other maintenance needs.

The LSA program distributes gaming revenue to economic development projects.
