QUAKERTOWN — Sen. Jarrett Coleman (R-16) is partnering with the Quakertown Police Association and the Quakertown Food Pantry to provide turkeys to local families ahead of the holiday season.
The turkey giveaway will take place immediately following the Quakertown Halloween Parade on Sunday, Oct. 18, at 3:30 p.m. at Quakertown Memorial Park, 600 West Mill St. in Quakertown. Turkeys will be available to local families on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limited number available.
“With the holiday season quickly approaching it is a time when we should look out for our neighbors and make sure families in our community have the support they need,” Coleman said. “I’m grateful to partner with the Quakertown Police Association and the Quakertown Food Pantry on this giveaway. By working together, we can provide meaningful assistance to local families and help make the season a little brighter.”
“We’re always grateful when members of our community come together to make sure our neighbors have access to food,” said Christie Gera, board president of the Quakertown Food Pantry. “We welcome any opportunity to get food into the hands of people who can use it, and we appreciate the generosity being offered to the community.”
Families are encouraged to arrive early, as turkeys will be available while supplies last. This collaborative effort reflects a shared commitment to helping local residents and ensuring families have access to the support they need.
