QUAKERTOWN – Sen. Jarrett Coleman (R-16) invites area residents to attend his Scam Jam event on May 28 where presentations and a financial scam expert panel will be provided to help prevent them from falling prey to fraud and scams.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the River Crossing YMCA, 101 Fairview Ave. Attendees will need to show ID upon entering the building. Light refreshments and door prizes will be offered.
“Scammers continue to create more elaborate ways to deceive and steal from hardworking Pennsylvanians, especially seniors,” Coleman said. “Ensuring our communities remain well- informed about the various scams out there and the signs they should lookout for is why events such as this Scam Jam are so important. I encourage our residents to attend.”
Representatives from the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bucks County Recorder of Deeds Office will give the presentations, and the financial expert panel will feature testimony from representatives from Citizens Bank, Diamond Credit Union, Penn Community Bank, QNB Bank and TD Bank.
