HARRISBURG – Sen. Jarrett Coleman (R-16) today announced state grants totaling $281,000 for Bucks County improvements have been awarded through the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA).
The grants were funded using natural gas drilling impact fees, not taxpayer dollars.
Perkasie Borough received $200,000 for improvements at Kulp Park. Funding will be used for rehabilitation of the baseball field, updated LED lighting and ADA parking and accessible pathways.
“A previous grant for the park was used to renovate tennis and pickleball courts and install LED lighting. This round of funding continues improvements for this well-loved community park,” Coleman said. “Soon, it will be more accessible for everyone, enabling it to be enjoyed by an even greater portion of the population.”
Dublin Borough received $81,000 for modifications of the Dublin Village Greene Detention Basin to address sanitary sewage overflows caused by an increase in rainfall. The funding will reduce streambank erosion and address nutrient and sediment impairments by removing debris and regrading the basin bottom in the area of the basin outlet structure to provide a positive slope to the outlet. It will also be used to reconstruct existing emergency spillways and remove existing pipe with a more efficient inlet box outlet structure.
The CFA is an independent agency of the Department of Community and Economic Development that administers many of Pennsylvania’s economic development and community improvement programs.
