Coleman Votes for Balanced, Responsible State Budget Approved by Senate

HARRISBURG – Sen. Jarrett Coleman (R-16) today voted for the balanced, on-time and responsible state budget approved by the Senate that would fund state programs and services without further burdening Pennsylvania taxpayers. Coleman issued the following statement after the vote:

“I voted today for one of the most fiscally responsible budgets in Pennsylvania history. The Senate budget would add to the commonwealth’s Rainy Day Fund, invest in school choice and promote fiscal sanity related to how state government spends the dollars it receives from taxpayers.

“The Senate budget plan is a commonsense proposal to fund government programs and services, create a strong financial foundation for the future and protect the short- and long-term interests of Pennsylvania taxpayers.”
